Ja'afar Mahmud Adam (February 12, 1960 – April 13, 2007) was a Nigerian Salafist Islamic scholar and prominent member of Nigeria's Jama'at al Izalat al bid'a wa iqamatus sunnah society, religio-political organisation headquartered in Abuja.
Sheik Ja'afar preached in Maiduguri's Indimi Mosque, annually during the month of Ramadan which was attended by the then Deputy Governor of Borno.
